General Rules of Conduct
1. All members must conduct themselves in a manner that enhances the image of Rince Tuatha Nua and comply fully with the Social Media Guidelines. Members must remain in good standing with Rince Tuatha Nua and within their own communities.
(a) In addition, all members, dancers, parents, friends/guests, instructors and adjudicators will present themselves with dignity and behave with respect and courtesy towards each other at all RTN-sponsored events.
(b) It is a teachers' responsibility to ensure that their parents & students are aware of, and comply with, RTN's rules & regulations.
2. All members must commit to fairness and equal opportunity to all members and their pupils. Safety should be the primary concern for all teachers & professionals. Discrimination based on age, race, gender, religion or sexual orientation is not allowed and will not be tolerated.
3. A fine of not more than $200 will be imposed on any member of RTN who fails to disclose any pertinent information on their registration form (or during that year of registration) regarding teacher associations, workshops, dance camps, etc, and that further s/he will not be allowed to put her/his name forward for election for one term (i.e. two years) for membership on RTN's Board of Directors or participate in committees.
4. All monies listed are in US dollars; the equivalent in other currencies is the amount for non-US members. Fees are subject to change.
5. RTN members are not allowed to belong to any other Irish Dance organizations.
6. Failure to comply with these rules & regulations will be subject to penalty as determined by the Board of Directors of Rince Tuatha Nua, Inc.
In the event there is an issue or situation at an RTN event, the RTN Board will take all information investigate the information and gather all details possible. The board will review the incident and then decide the actions taken by the board which can include any of the following:
Warning: A warning will be issued to the RTN Member School. Following the warning The RTN Member is responsible for discussing the situation with the parent/dancer. A warning will be issued by meeting with the RTN Board and/or written warning.
Feis Suspension: Teachers, dancers, parents/guardians of dancer(s) can be suspended from attending any RTN events for a specific length of time depending on the incident: 3 months, 6 months, or 1 year
Please note: At any time, Feis Organizers have full ability to refuse entry and admission to a dancer/parent.
Suspension from RTN and/or Events: In the most serious of cases, the Teacher/Dancer/Parent/Guardian may be suspended indefinitely from attending RTN events and/or from RTN.
